The London Geometry and Machine Learning Summer School 2021 was held 12-16 July online. The week boasted 20 projects, each undertaken by a small group of participants under the guidance of an experienced mentor. There were also 12 talks on geometry and/or machine learning from some of the leading figures in the field, a variety of social events, and a company networking night.
Talks of speakers who agreed to be recorded can be found here.
TOPICS OF INTEREST
The event covered a broad range of topics where machine learning and geometry are combined. A non-exhaustive list includes:
3D Computer Vision and Computer Graphics
Graph Neural Networks (e.g. in bioinformatics, recommender systems…)
Optimal Transport and its applications
Topological data analysis
Representation learning and geometry (e.g. hyperbolic embeddings, hyperbolic neural networks, mixed-curvature representations)
Invariant and equivariant representations
