The London Geometry and Machine Learning Summer School 2021 was held 12-16 July online. The week boasted 20 projects, each undertaken by a small group of participants under the guidance of an experienced mentor. There were also 12 talks on geometry and/or machine learning from some of the leading figures in the field, a variety of social events, and a company networking night.

Talks of speakers who agreed to be recorded can be found here.

TOPICS OF INTEREST

The event covered a broad range of topics where machine learning and geometry are combined. A non-exhaustive list includes:

  • 3D Computer Vision and Computer Graphics

  • Graph Neural Networks (e.g. in bioinformatics, recommender systems…)

  • Optimal Transport and its applications

  • Topological data analysis

  • Representation learning and geometry (e.g. hyperbolic embeddings, hyperbolic neural networks, mixed-curvature representations)

  • Riemannian MCMC

  • Invariant and equivariant representations

  • And more...
