Kamilia Zaripova

Technical University of Munich (TUM)

Kamilia is a PhD candidate in Computer Science at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), working at the intersection of machine learning, knowledge graphs, and biomedical AI. Her research focuses on graph-based methods for rare disease diagnosis and gene prioritization, with an emphasis on interpretable models that integrate clinical phenotypes, biological knowledge graphs, and multimodal data. She is particularly interested in combining medical imaging with genetic and clinical information to build robust multimodal learning systems for precision medicine.

Beyond her research, she co-organizes the GRAIL workshop at MICCAI 4 years in a row and is involved in mentoring students in machine learning and biomedical data science. She has also supported several early-stage AI and health-tech startups as a technical mentor.
