Indian Institute of Technology Delhi

Nikita Malik is a final-year PhD scholar at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India, and a recipient of the prestigious Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship (PMRF). She works under the supervision of Prof. Sandeep Kumar, focusing on the development of secure, robust, and privacy-preserving Graph Machine Learning (GML) models, with applications spanning federated learning and hyperbolic geometry.

Beyond graph learning, Nikita is interested in topology-based studies of brain dynamics, aiming to model and analyze temporal neural processes using topological neural networks.

Currently, she is a PhD intern at the Samsung R&D Institute Bangalore (SRIB), working alongside her doctoral research with the SNAP (Samsung Neural Acceleration Platform) team. Her work focuses on on-device AI, emphasizing the optimization of AI pipelines under strict data security constraints. SRIB is recognized as Samsung’s largest R&D center outside South Korea, known for fostering a strong culture of innovation and collaborative research.
