Xiaowen Dong is an associate professor in the Department of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford, where he is a member of the Machine Learning Research Group. Prior to joining Oxford, he was a postdoctoral associate in the MIT Media Lab, and received his PhD degree from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL). His main research interests concern signal processing and machine learning techniques for analysing data with complex structures, and their applications in social, urban, and financial network analysis.
